Following the end of the Holy Road soccer tournament, Matsukaze Tenma returns to Raimon Junior High after a break, only to find out that all of his friends and teammates no longer play soccer, and the soccer club apparently doesn`t exist. He is soon after approached by a mysterious person called Alpha who reveals himself to be a time traveler (from an organization in the future known as El Dorado) on a mission to destroy soccer.
Together with the help of Fey Rune, Tenma must travel through time and save soccer before El Dorado rids the world of it forever.

Inuzuka Koushi is a smart high school student who aims to become a public prosecutor. Unfortunately for our good guy, he was born into a martial arts family whose head (i.e. his father) only knows one language: violence. The union of the two blood lines is supposed to bring forth Earth`s strongest martial arts clan.

Enter Kusuryuu Momoko: sugar bomb, airhead, loli martial arts artist and Koushi`s self-proclaimed bride (the strongest on Earth, no less). Her wish for sexual intercourse meets with Koushi`s square refusal as he has absolutely no desire to get it on with someone who looks like she could be his little sister, not to mention that he doesn`t have the foggiest idea who she actually is.
Meanwhile, a war has broken out between the martial arts families. For Koushi, this means that numerous fighters are out to challenge him. Aoki Densetsu Shoot! (Legendary Blue Shot!) or also known as just “Shoot!”, is the story of Toshihiko Tanaka, Kenji Shiraishi, and Kazuhiro Hiramatsu. Shoot! 1: 33 volumes, Shoot! 2: 5 volumes, Shoot! 3: 12 volumes, and finally Shoot! 4: 16 volumes, with the last series ending only in 2003. A live action movie was also produced in 1994 starring the famous j-pop band Smap.
