After an exciting year for the Misuzawa High School karuta club, a new semester begins as two new members join the group. More passionate than ever for the ancient card game, Chihaya sets ambitious goals for herself and for her friends.
Continuation of the first series. Chihaya and her friends have entered their second year of high school, and they are anxious to recruit new first year members for the karuta club and to strengthen their team. However, the new members don`t seem to share Chihaya`s passion for karuta, and a potential rival for Taichi`s affections appears.

Oshimoto Yuri is the club`s only freshman and the only sane person in this collection of eccentric personalities. Following the end of the Holy Road soccer tournament, Matsukaze Tenma returns to Raimon Junior High after a break, only to find out that all of his friends and teammates no longer play soccer, and the soccer club apparently doesn`t exist. He is soon after approached by a mysterious person called Alpha who reveals himself to be a time traveler (from an organization in the future known as El Dorado) on a mission to destroy soccer.
Together with the help of Fey Rune, Tenma must travel through time and save soccer before El Dorado rids the world of it forever.

6th-year grade-schooler Ayase Chihaya`s dream is for her sister to be Japan`s top model. However, transfer student Wataya Arata admonishes her that a dream must be about one`s own self. Thus, she takes up karuta, a Japanese card game, competitively. Together with Arata and Mashima Taichi, Chihaya`s childhood friend, they have great fun playing each other, but separate after graduation.
4 years later, Chihaya returns to town. Although Arata no longer plays the game, she believes that they will eventually reunite as long as she continues karuta. Together with Taichi, she establishes the Mizusawa High-school Karuta Club.

East Tokyo United (ETU) can only blame their coach right now. Anzu goes to a preschool with her friends, the shy-crybaby Koume and the eccentric-genius-prodigy Hiiragi.
Together they try to get the attention of their caretaker, Tsuchida Naozumi. However, he is clearly more interested in Yamamoto Nanako, who supervises the class next door. Tsuchida has just started working at the Hanamaru Kindergarten, and, as the first and only male teacher at the school, he is particularly nervous.
His first day does not go quite as smoothly as planned when he turns up late and is greeted by Anzu, who claims that he was putting some smooth moves on her earlier! Though managing to initially clear up the misunderstanding, Anzu proceeds with her claims of destined, never ending love and that she will one day be his bride.
Additionally, Anzu`s mother, who also happens to be Tsuchida`s high school senior, is openly supporting them all the way.
Now as Tsuchida attempts to become the best teacher he can be, he must also try and quell the rumours created by Anzu, and try his luck at the beautiful and kind… yet ultimately clueless… Yamamoto-sensei.
